Hot-Melt Thermoplastic Road Marking Paint Production Line

Thermoplastic hot-melt road marking paint is the most widely used marking material for highways, urban roads, airport runways and parking lots around the world, valued for its strong adhesion, excellent retroreflectivity, wear resistance and long service life. A complete automatic production line is the core equipment to manufacture stable, standard-compliant hot-melt marking paint in large batches.

This turnkey production line covers the whole workflow from raw material feeding, precision batching, heating mixing, cooling, crushing, sieving to finished automatic packaging, together with centralized dust removal system. The main raw materials include petroleum resin, calcium carbonate filler, titanium dioxide or organic pigment, reflective glass beads, PE wax, EVA and other functional additives. All materials are stored in independent silos and delivered by screw conveyors and elevators to the mixing host according to preset formulas.

The whole system adopts PLC + HMI intelligent control. Operators can store multiple production formulas on the touch screen. The weighing accuracy reaches ±0.5%, which effectively avoids manual proportioning errors and guarantees consistent quality batch by batch. The mixing host uses wear-resistant alloy blades for homogeneous stirring, with accurate temperature control, to ensure full dispersion of resin, pigment and glass beads without local overheating and material aging.

After high-temperature mixing, the molten material goes through the cooling belt conveyor for rapid cooling, then enters the crusher and vibrating sieve to get uniform powder or granular products. Finally, the automatic packing machine seals finished goods into standard 25kg bags. The supporting dust collection system greatly reduces powder floating, improves workshop environment and cuts raw material loss.

We can customize production capacity from 8 tons to 60 tons per hour according to customers’ factory layout and market demand. The equipment can produce white and yellow hot-melt paint that meets international standards such as EN 1436, BS 3262 and AASHTO M249. Frequency conversion design saves energy consumption, and the structure is easy to maintain, which lowers long-term operation cost for paint factories.

Finished paint made by this line features bright color, stable reflectivity, anti-cracking and anti-fading performance. When constructed on roads, it melts quickly with marking kettles and forms thick, clear lines after cooling. It is highly suitable for government road bidding projects and large traffic infrastructure projects in different countries.
