Road traffic marking construction technology:

  1. Preparation stage for construction: Before construction, ensure the complete placement of various construction materials, including equipment, process materials, etc., to avoid increasing construction burden due to lack of facilities after road closure. In addition, safety measures should also be taken before construction.
  2. Road cleaning: Road cleaning is an essential part and also the foundation of road markings, improving their adhesion. Focus on ensuring road cleanliness and dryness, preventing the influence of dust, mud, and water accumulation, and improving process performance.
  3. Melting of hot melt coatings: The hot melt material is basically in a solid state and needs to be melted during construction. Firstly, it is necessary to adjust the heat to low and heat a small amount of the coating. When there is a significant melting change in the coating, use a mixer to stir first, and then add the coating in a certain amount. As the solid coating increases, heat and mix until the coating dissolves completely, and put it into use.
  4. Basic layout: Asphalt pavement road markings need to be laid out and marked, and curbstones should be selected as reference objects; Clearly define the layout base point, determine the vertical distance between the road marking and the reference object, take a longitudinal point at the reference object, and mark the distance point with a cross shape for easy confirmation.
  5. Primer application: During the painting process, the main focus is on scientific application of the underlying coating. The bottom coating is an intermediate step in the construction of hot melt coatings, which improves the adhesion between the hot melt coating and the road. The selection of bottom coating can be based on the actual situation of the road surface, and different road materials have different effects on the bottom coating. Taking asphalt pavement as an example, with water lines as the main focus, apply primer first and then apply paint. According to the condition of the asphalt pavement, the number of times the coating is applied is set, with a focus on improving the adhesion of the coating.
  6. Marking application: The painting process is more critical. Firstly, maintain the coating state, adjust the paint film thickness, ensure the basic parameters of the coating, and make appropriate adjustments or modifications. Use a mechanical groove to control the coating thickness of the marking coating, form a uniform coating, and use a spreader to apply glass beads.
